18 February 2003It's about time I did something to this site! More Ecuador photos have been added to Irene's area. Cleveland AFS (American Field Service) is organizing a mini-AFS World's Fair. There will be at least 15 nations represented there. Ethnic food, crafts, entertainment. I can't list it all here. So I have more info here.
The eldest daughter of the Rhine Family is an exchange student to Ecuador for her Junior year of High School. She is there through the AFS Exchange program. It's real scary having my little girl so far away.

Not much is happening right now. We expect a package of photos from her next week

In the fall of 2001 we hosted a girl from Japan we have some photos of Kae. We hosted a cute girl from southern Germany for one month this year. We have photos of Rica also.
In both cases it was a fantastic learning experience. The best way to learn another culture is to live with it, or host it. :-)
Both students were through the AFS Exchange program. Contact me if you are interested in the exchange program. Either as a host family or to be an exchange student.
